How to get to Ottawa

Ottawa is centrally located with the award-winning Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport located 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa, offering non-stop flights from Canadian, US and European hubs, plus numerous short daily connections from nearby Montreal and Toronto. A single connection will get you from almost every IGR club city including Paris, Sydney, Cape Town, Buenos Aires and San Francisco.

Ottawa is also served by scheduled passenger rail, with comfortable service to downtown Toronto in under four hours and Montreal in under two hours. Amtrak connections are available in both Toronto and Montreal.

Participation in the Bingham Cup also comes with various perks and discounts in the Ottawa area. Each person who pays dues to participate in the Bingham Cup will have access to Ottawa Tourism’s Flash Your Badge Program.  The program is currently suspended due to theCOVID-19 pandemic but is scheduled to be relaunched in January 2022.

The Flash Your Badge Program grants registered participants and a guest access to discounts and special offers at participating attractions, tours, and restaurants. There is no registration required to utilize this program –registered participants can simply present their event issued participant badge at participating retailers to receive the advertised discount.

Getting around Ottawa

Getting here is easy. Getting around after you arrive is easier! All participants will enjoy unlimited use of public transit during the tournament. The fast, comfortable light rail system and associated network of busses means any part of the city is within reach: for free! Ridesharing services Uber and Lyft and public taxis are also available. If you are feeling more energetic, more than 600km of multi-use pathways link superb natural areas, parks, gardens, attractions and museums!
